When transplanting your tomato plants into it’s final container, does the container need holes at the bottom in order to release any excess of water, or should the container not have holes at the bottom in order to conserve the moisture?

Drainage holes are good

I think the general consesnus is to always include holes. This will prevent a whole host of issues including rot and mold
