Still can't paint the garden! Grrr!

by Rick

My half-painted garden floor!

My half-painted garden floor!

Well, it's Monday morning, and I still haven't been able to finish painting the garden floor! I suppose it was partly my own fault...

On Thursday I had moved all of the furniture and bags of compost etc close to the house so I could paint the bottom end of the garden. Once dry, I planned to move all the furniture and bags to the newly painted area of the garden and finish the un-painted bits.

This was all going to plan until it rained on Friday, causing me to delay painting the other half until it dried out again.

The forecast for Sunday was dry, so at about 2pm Sunday afternoon, after allowing time for everything to dry out in the sun, I began moving all the furniture and bags to the bottom end of the garden, only to find the ground dripping wet where the un-opened compost bags had been sitting!

I realize now, I should have moved them much earlier in the day. So now with the ground all wet, I couldn't sweep up or start the painting, and by the time evening came, the ground still wasn't dry enough.

The forecast is rain for the rest of the week and my garden looks like a builder?s yard again! :o(

Let's hope I get this resolved before I need to start planting!
