My 1st Green Pepper

by Oliver Steinke

My 1st Green Pepper

My 1st Green Pepper

Several decades ago my wife and I transformed part of the backyard into a vegetable garden in Southern California and it was quite successful (sorry no pics). We never forgot the experience after all this time. About a month or two ago we decided to try out these upside down hanging planters. We bought two - one for Roma tomatoes and one for green peppers. The tomato plant is growing very quickly and I've already tasted some small yet delicious tomatoes. The green pepper plant is growing much more slowly but to my surprise I've already harvested this one medium sized green pepper.

Peppers

Nice pepper. Looks like you've got a bumper crop on the way. Watch out for the tiny red spider mite which likes peppers.
