FINALLY!
The Garden Floor is Painted!

Freshly painted patio floor

Well I've finally got there!

It all started about 3 weeks ago when I decided to put a fresh coat of paint on the patio floor. It was a nice sunny day, but then the clouds came in and it rained as soon as I had finished applying the first coat, washing away most of the paint and rendering the floor un-walkable for about a week!

Then, a week later, the sun came out again - so I re-painted. Unfortunately it rained again immediately afterwards - this time the rain didn't stop for about 2 weeks!

Then finally, this weekend, the weatherman forecast a hot and sunny weekend, so determined to get it done once and for all, I went out there and painted it a third time. This time, thankfully, the paint had a chance to thoroughly dry.

It's nice to finally be able to walk out there without having to check your shoes for signs of wet paint before stepping back into the house!

I took some photos before I did any planting work because I know it probably won't stay this color for long. Compost and soil have a habit of marking and staining fresh paint work.
