Can't wait to get started!

This is going to be an exciting 2010 growing year for me and hubby. We've tried growing tomato plants and marrows before with so-so results, but we've never grown plants on the big scale we are hoping to do this year.

Your website is great, and I love the way you're really planning to produce a big crop from a tiny garden. You have inspired us to get started on our own food-growing project. We're lucky to have a slightly bigger garden than you, so there should be no excuses for not getting a successful crop.

We've thought about doing this for several years, but have been putting it off for whatever reason. Now I think the recession and the economic climate has finally got us motivated. We may be facing hard times ahead with hubbys job currently in the balance, so growing our own food could really help us if he does loose his job.

We are thinking about building raised beds on the sunniest parts of the lawn and I found your page and information on raised beds and square foot gardening really useful, we will probably adopt that method, as our soil on the ground is not very good.


Time to order those seed catologues I think.
